Loco Mogul
A cross between Oasis and Railroad Tycoon
Coming Soon!
Railroading is in your blood
The sights and sounds of a steaming locomotive hurling across country. So much power. You want it! All you need is the money to start your own railway.
The Five Investors
But you found five investors who will help fuel your dream. You will build the railroads and run the trains for them. When all is done, they will give you the chance to buy them out. If successful, the railway will be yours!
The Challenge
But it won't be that easy. The territories chosen will get more challenging and your investors expect quick results. In order to make a profit, they will push you to get the train service running as quickly as possible.
The Railroad
Building a railroad requires you to lay down train stations near resources and connecting them by rail. You must balance the time it takes to survey the land with the time it takes to actually build the railroad.
You will need to take into account the terrain. Flattening hills, cutting down trees, building bridges, and tunneling through mountains all take time. Finding gold brings bandits. Leaving some resources unserviced will cost you. But you will find some help along the way. Can you do it all before time runs out?
Getting Paid
Your investors will pay you on how well you can earn them money on the railroads you build. They will let you keep a portion of the profits on the initial service runs.
Transport as many rail cars to their destinations in the limited amount of time allotted to you. Leaving rail cars waiting too long will cause them to go away. This will lower your service rating and eventually lower the shipping rates you can charge. Moving multiple cars to the same station will net you the most profit.
Rewards
As you make more money, the investors will reward you with better locomotives capable of carrying more rail cars.
After it's all done, use your money to try and buy out as many investors as you can. With luck, you may become the next Loco Mogul!
System Requirements: Windows XP/Vista, 1 GHZ Intel or AMD Processor, and OpenGL.
Fun fact:This is our first game to use the Torque Game Builder instead of our home-grown game engine. Hopefully, this will allow us to create games faster and eventually port them to Macs.
