People sometimes ask if Battleship Chess was based on Lost Admiral. I had to admit, I'd never heard of the game. But now the author of that game has updated it and re-released it as Lost Admiral Returns. After playing the game, I have to admit that there are some similarities.

True but it lack the quick punch up fun of battleship chess, plus BC's combat is oh so sasifying verus the rock papaer scissors approach of LAR.

While I'm continuing to enjoy BC, I must say LAR is also a top-notch game. Tactics (BC) versus strategy (LAR). I think the two games complement each other nicely. I'm glad to have both!
