interesting stun experience

I have had an interesting experience with STUN over the last few days.

The game I have set up had 8 races total with random events in a cluster galaxy.
It was reduced down to only 3 races including mine after about 300 years, and I was responsible for only 1 races destruction, but anyway.

The two other races were Human and Robot. They were at war with each other.
The humans somehow managed to capture one of the robot worlds, i'm pretty sure is was one of those random events of the planet jumping to somebody else.
The humans declared war on me and I thought, "Hey, lets destroy the human worlds leaving me with two races in the galaxy, but with both as Robots"
So I go about my business and destroy the two human worlds, sparing the human controlled robot world.

About 5 years game time all of a sudden without being attacked by the robots, the human controlled robot world jumped back to robot control. There was no message given about it, it just switched.
I thought it was odd so reloaded an earlier save and sent a ship to check it out. Sure enough, while my ship was in the system but away from the world to prevent combat, it switched over the robot control.

I was at war with the robots at the time so I thought it'd be a good idea to reduce their size and so I destroyed that world.

But thats not the only odd thing that happened.

About 50 years after I got sick of the robots demanding I give them my technology to end the war, so I go and destroy their remaining homeworld leaving them with 3 ships somewhere in the galaxy.

That was 200 games years ago, and they still, according to the diplomacy screen, have 1 ship out there somewhere.
Every other game i've played the remaining ships after the worlds destruction lasted at most 20 years.

As it stands i've restarted the research (I paused it during the final battle) and rebuilt my scout ships to explore the galaxy. I have moved up to the singularity age and have yet to find the last Robot ship.

So not only has 1 race simply disappeared during this game (human controlled robot world) the game hasn't ended even after 200 years of game time after the last race's world as destroyed.
Later on today I will post an update as to whether or not the last ship is found or if the game even ends.

As it stands i'm going to build as many ships as possible to search the galaxy high and low. And of course spread out with colonies.

You're clearly going "where no one has gone before!" <queue music> You must know the game better than I do by now.

The only thing I can think of is maybe there is a ship out their with no one on board. It should have self destructed by now when all the other planets were wiped out. Even if your ships enter the system they would ignore that ship since its dead.
Maybe it was a ship built by the humans on their former robot controlled world. All the crew left because the robots were wiped out. But the humans were never killed as far as the game is concerned?

It could be an empty ship, but my understanding is that it would gradually degrade and blow up. Could be a bug. Good luck in finding it

Well, I never did find that ship.
The game ended about 500 years after I destroyed the robot world. It might have had something to do with the Robot race having a ton of cash. I don't know.

Linked are two saves. 1 before they switch but are still just 2 different robot races.
The other is about 50 years after I had destroyed the last robot world.

To note it doesn't switch immediately and a couple of times it didn't seem to switch at all.
So if you're wanting to see the switch it should occur before 2620.

According to rapidshare these two files can only be downloaded 10 times. And will be deleted after 60 days.

I'm also uploading a video to Youtube of the switch. By the time it finishes uploading i'll be busy playing CnC3. I can only play Stun so many times before I need to give it a rest. But I always come back to it.
